Pioneer Of Maple Corners Is Dead.

Joel Burgess, about 80 years of age, pioneer farmer residing two miles east of 
Maple Corners, died early this morning from ailments incident to old age.  For 
some time he had been living alone on the farm where his death occurred.  He is 
survived by three children, Mrs. Raymond Thuma, of Sebewa, Mart Burgess, of 
Arkansas, and Emmett Burgess, of Grand Haven.  Funeral arrangements are pending 
awaiting word from the sons.
