Percival T. Burgess

Percival T. Burgess, 83, of 4951 White's Bridge rd., Smyrna, died October 19 at 
United Memorial Hospital, Greenville.

Mr.Burgess was born February 13, 1882, in Sheffield, England; he had been a  
bricklayer and came to Smyrna 19 years ago from Detroit. He was a member of 
Central Methodist Church, Belding.

On May 23, 1904 he was married to Jennie Coulston who died in 1949. On April 21, 
1951, he married Edith Dumon who survives.

Survivors his widow, one daughter, Mrs.Frank (Elsie) Parker, Smyrna; two 
grandchildren,Mrs.Dana Hodges, Gordon Parker; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday (today) at 2 p.m. from Huffman Funeral 
Home with the Rev. Ralph Dean of Central Methodist Church and the Rev. Kent 
Trover of Smyrna Gospel Church officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery.


Pallbearers will be Milan reeves, Howard Reeves, Paul Reeves, Russell Reeves, 
Melvin Mann and Dale Richmond.
