Richard C. Burgtorf, 51, of 217 E. Liberty St., died Saturday at home.  He was
born Dec. 30, 1928 in Cheboygan, the son of August and Francella Burgtorf.

He is survived by his mother, Francella of Hastings; his wife, Jean of Belding;
one daughter, Mrs. David (Carolyn) Peterman of Belding; two sons, Richard Jr.
and Steven, both of Belding; one sister, Mrs. Emma Goodell of Saranac; five
brothers, William of Ionia, George of Saranac, Robert of Flint, Jack of Hastings
and Thomas of Fremont, Calif.; and one granddaughter.

Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Huffman Funeral Home in
Belding, with the Rev. Floyd Hughes officiating.  Burial will be in Rest Haven
Memory Gardens in Belding.  Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30
p.m. in the funeral home.
