Patsy Lee Burhans, 53, of Portland, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed
away on July 25, 2008.  She was born on May 18, 1955 in Lansing the daughter of
Wallace and Genevieve (Leitz) Reed, Sr.  She was a member of Hope Lutheran
Church in Portland and was a retirement representative for the State of Michigan
for 29 years before retiring. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Reed, Sr.; son, Jason Reed;
daughter, Shellie Reed; father-in-law, Rodney Burhans; brother, Wallace “Skip”
Reed, Jr.; sister, Connie Harton.

Surviving are her husband, Rodney Burhans of Portland; two sons, Nick (Jennifer)
Reed of Portland and Dustan (Katie Proctor) Burhans of Portland; four
grandchildren, Raven Pitch; Jaycee and Trinity Reed, and Reece Proctor-Burhans;
mother, Genevieve Reed of Kalkaska; sisters, Deborah (John) Gilbert of Kalkaska
and Wendy (Brad) Anderson of Portland; brother, John (Vickie) Reed of Lyons;
mother-in-law, Donna Burhans of Lyons; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. Paul Lindloff on July 29 at the
Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland with interment
following at Portland Cemetery.  For those desiring, memorial contributions may
be made to the Gift Of Life in memory of Patsy Lee Burhans.
