Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 9 Jun 1919

John Burke, aged 63, died at his home at 373 Center street, Sunday morning. 
Besides his wife, he leaves to survive him six children, Mrs. D. B. Long and
Mrs. Thomas Humphrey of Lansing, and Misses Mary and Margaret Burke, and Harry
and John Burke, Harry being stationed at Camp Custer.  The funeral will be held
at the residence Tuesday at two o’clock.  Rev. A.R. Mitchell will officiate. 
The interment will be in Highland Park.
