Ionia Daily Sentinel – 6 July 1976
Mrs. Irma M. Bucke, 78, of Lake Odessa died Monday afternoon at the Clark 
Memorial Home in Grand Rapids where she had lived for the past month.  She was 
born in Berlin Township, Ionia County, January 11, 1898 the daughter of 
Clifford and Clara Thomas Allen.  She was a lifelong resident of the Lake 
Odessa area and attended Durkee rural school.

She married Charles Bucke January 11, 1922 in Ionia.  He preceded her in death 
in November of 1951.  She was a member of the Central united Methodist church, 
past Noble Grand Club, Refuse Rebekah Lodge, Historical Society and Senior 
Citizens, all of Lake Odessa.  She was also a member of the Ionia County Farm 
Bureau.  Surviving is one sister, Mrs. Irene Hamilton of lake; two nephews and 
one niece.

Services will be held Thursday at 1:30 pm at the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel 
in Lake Odessa with Rev. William Hertel officiating.  Burial will be at 
Lakeside cemetery.
