Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 11 Jun 1919

The funeral for John Burke was held at the home on Center street Tuesday
afternoon at two o’clock, Rev. A.R. Mitchell officiating.  The bearers were
William Davis, Dan Fuller, Leslie McKee and Thomas Humphrey, and the interment
was in Highland Park.  People from out of town attending the funeral were two
daughters, Mrs. Bertha Humphrey and Mrs. Minnie Long from Lansing, and Mr.
Wheeler and Miss Eva Wheeler from Grand Rapids.  A large number of friends and
neighbors attended the funeral, and the flowers were both numerous and very
beautiful.
