Ionia Sentinel, 6 Feb 1929

William Burletson, 84, died at his home in Grand Rapids Tuesday, and the 
funeral services will be held there Thursday, and burial will be in Oak Hill 
cemetery, Ionia, Thursday afternoon at 1 o’clock.  Mr. Burletson lived many 
years of his life in Iona, and while here was employed at the Wagon works and 
later the Hayes-Ionia company’s plant.  He was a faithful member of the 
Methodist Episcopal church, and was one of the highest types of citizens.  His 
only son, William died a few years ago.  He leaves his daughter-in-law, with 
whom he lived, and two grandchildren, Fred and Mildred Burletson.
