He was born March 3, 1898, in Eagle, the son of Leonard and Blanche Moses Burman. He was self-employed for more than 40 years as the operator of a Standard service station in Portland, and was a life member of F. and A.M. 31 and the Portland Chamber of Commerce. His wife Mabel preceded him in death in 1977, as did one grandson, Keith. He is survived by two daughters, Muriel Burman and Kathleen Jones, both of Portland. One brother, Carl, Pinellas Park, Fla., and one sister, Mrs. Anne Morse of Lansing, also survive. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Neller Funeral Home, the Rev. Ronald Lahr and the Rev. Maurice Christenson officiating. Burial will be in Portland cemetery. Honorary pallbearer is Jack Haley of Portland. Active bearers will be: Richard Willemin, Warren Willard, Harold Bourgois, Robert L. Jones, Victor Keefer, Herbert Fryover, Graydon Ward, and Allen Desprez.
