The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, July 10, 1935

Funeral services for James Burnett, of Lyons, who dropped dead Saturday night 
were held from the Lyons Baptist church Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. C. 
D. McKenzie, pastor of that church, officiating.  Bearers were Roy Buck, 
Herbert Ashley, Lyman Crane, Fremont Randall, Ira Bentley and Fred Townsend.  
Interment was at the Portland cemetery.
