With her family by her side she passed away into eternity into the Kingdom of Heaven. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family, friends and many supporters carried her through many months of congested heart failure. Evelyn "Vi" daughter of Henry and Henrietta Smith was born on July 27, 1927 in DeKalb, Texas. She was the youngest of four children. She worked many years as a proof reader for the Wall Street Journal and as a switchboard operator for Bell. She thoroughly enjoyed crossword puzzles to pass the time.She also never missed a Sunday of watching her church services on television. She is survived by her three children, Debbie, Roy and Vicky; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. "A Celebration of Life" will be held Saturday March 19th 2016 in Saranac at the Saranac Housing Commission 203 Parsonage st.
