Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2002

Owen “Chuck” Burns Jr., 57, of Ionia passed away Friday, Nov. 22, 2002 in 
Ionia.  He was born Sept. 18, 1945, the son of Owen Loranie Burns and Mae 
(Braman) Taylor Burns Sr.  He worked for GenCorp. until closing of the factory.

He is survived by his daughter, Eva Mae (Tony) Ferris of Ionia; brothers and 
sisters, Mary (Ted) Klein of Ionia, James (Deb) Burns of Palo, Carol (Fred) 
Kuhtz of Ionia, Wendy (Marty) Dowsett of Palo, Brad (Sandy) Burns of Brand 
Rapids, Laird (Liz) Burns of Grand Rapids, Kevin Burns of Sparta and Kelly 
Burns of Mason; step-mother Loraine Burns; two grandchildren; and many nieces 
and nephews.  He was preceded in death by one son, Derek; one grandchild, 
Travis; and his parents.

Cremation has taken place at his request.  Anyone wishing may make memorial 
contributions to Ionia Area Hospice.  Arrangements handled by Lake Funeral Home 
of Ionia.
