David Luther Burns, 66 of Fife Lake, passed away Wednesday morning Dec. 14, 
2005, at his home.  David was born May 29, 1939, in Muskegon, the son of 
Raymond and Jeanne Yost Burns.  He graduated from Belding High School with the 
class of 1957 and following graduation he proudly served in the U. S. Air 
Force.  Dave was a member of Belding-Ionia-Lowell Masonic Lodge No. 355 F&AM.  
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and doing yard work around his cabin.  Dave will 
be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Lori, in 1965; and sister, 
Susan Teal, in 2002.  He is survived by his children, Mike and Sherri Burns of 
Greenville, Scott and Kathy Burns of Grayling, Duane and Robin Burns of 
Sidney; stepchildren, Chris Wood, Deanna and Mark Schwartz, all of Grayling; 
10 grandchildren; and sisters, Pat Switzer of Belding, Kathy and Ron Fisher of 
Howard City.

Masonic funeral services at 11 am Monday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral home, 
Belding.  Interment will follow in Forest Home Cemetery, Greenville.  The 
family will greet relatives and friends from 2 to 4 pm Sunday at the funeral 
home.  Memorial contributions may be given at the funeral home web site,
