Ken was born July 10, 1936, the son of the late Faye O. Burns. He attended school in Hillsdale, Ken served his country in the United States Air Force. He drove truck for more than 45 years. He loved all animals, especially eagles. Ken also loved telling jokes. Most of all, he loved his family and grandchildren. Ken is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Jeff Harrington of Belding; grandchildren, Kenneth, Tyler and Kaitlyn; his stepchildren, James Baker, Jae Burnham and Shannon Swaynie; and a brother, Richard Wellman of Mount Clemens. He was preceded in death by his mother, Faye; sister, Petie; and brother, Mo. Per Ken’s wishes cremation has taken place at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Ionia. There will be a celebration of Ken’s life at from 1 to 3 pm. Monday at Six Lakes VFW Post 5602 located at 2195 W. Fleck Road. The family asks that donations be made in Ken’s name. Envelopes will be available to the VFW Post or may be sent in care of Brigham Funeral Chapel, 303 S. Bridge St., Belding, Mich. 48809.
