(Greta) Burns, 90, of Ionia, died Sunday, June 25, 1995, at her residence. She was born January 9, 1905, the daughter of Arthur and Grace (Bradshaw) Cory. She worked for the Bo-Kay Shop in Ionia for Kay and Richard Lincoln for many years. She married Merl Burns November 4, 1924. They were married for 70 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ionia, a member of the C.C.W. Class, of the Ionia Historical Society and one of the founders of the Ionia Dial-a-Ride. She is survived by her husband, Merl; one son, Gordon (Pat) Burns, of Orleans; two daughters: Merleta (Clinton) Antcliff, of Saranac; Leora Listerman, of Ionia; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Cory, of Belding; three sisters: Louise Gladding, of Ionia, Budd Christensen, of Stanton, Burma Castle, of Connecticut, one former daughter-in-law, Shirley Rusnell, of Ionia and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Cook Funeral Home in Ionia. The Rev. James Bennett, of the First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Easton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Cook Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ionia or the Ionia Dial-a-Ride.
