The son of Robert A. and Helen L. Martin Burns, he was born on Aug. 26, 1953. A graduate of Greenville High School, Bob worked most of his life as a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mushrooming, and was always willing to help his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Helen L. Burns of Greenville; his father, Robert A. Burns II of Lake; three sister, Rebecah Benjamin of Grand Rapids, Sherry and Lindon Buckley of Belding and Cathy Rush of Greenville; an uncle and two aunts, Ridgeway and Sandy Burns, Sue Hoye; nine nieces and nephews, Lisa Bristol, Carl Wise, Melissa Benjamin, Stephanie Ollson, Sherry Lynn Oetting, Terry Buckley, Borden Buckley, Mindy Key, Heather Christensen; several great nieces and great nephews; and many cousins and friends. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511, S. Franklin St., Greenville, with a family prayer service at 8 p.m. Following cremation, final interment will be at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
