Pauline L. Burns, 77, of Sheridan passed away on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at her 
home.  She was born on April 17, 1936, in Stanton, the daughter of Cecil and 
Gladys (Sebring) Barber.

On Oct. 3, 1959, in Grand Rapids, Pauline was married to William A. Burns III 
and he survives in addition to their children, Barbara and Michael Bokovoy of 
Lansing, Deborah and Richard Roberts of Osseo, William and Breann Burns of 
Belding; a daughter-in-law, Donna Burns of Bay City, Texas; five grandchildren; 
five great grandchildren; and one brother, Jack and Jean Barber of Stanton.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, a grandson, three brothers 
and two sisters. 

Formerly of Ionia and McBain, Pauline has been a resident of the Sheridan area 
since 2011.  She was retired from Gibsons.

Graveside services at Evergreen Cemetery, Sheridan will be held on Friday, 
Sept. 13, beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating.  
Cremation has already taken place; there will not be any visitation held.  For 
those desiring to do so, the family has suggested memorial considerations can 
be made to the charity of one's choice.  There are envelopes available at the 
funeral home.  The Simpson Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the Burns 
family with care and compassion.
