The Ionia County News, Thursdays, August 7, 1958
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday July 31, at St. Mary’s 
Catholic Church, Carson City, for Edward T. Burns, 93, who died Monday July 28 
at his farm home near Carson City.  A native of Rochester, N.Y., he had 
resided in this community since a boy and had lived on the same farm 42 
years.  Mr. Burns was a honorary member of the Knights of Columbus.  

Surviving are two sons, Stephen of Detroit and Firmin, at home; two brothers, 
James W. and John M., both of Hubbardston; and three grandchildren.  

Burial was in Maryknoll cemetery.
