They first settled in Verno_?, soon moving to New York state where they stayed a few years then coming to Michigan and settled west of Hubbardston. Thirty years ago he bought the farm he died on. His wife died in 1900. Seven children were born, all living except one, three boys, Frank, Edward and John owning farms in this locality, James, the local undertaker, Bert living in Detroit and one daughter, a Dominican Sister in Monroe, Wis. Mr. Burns has always been active until the past two weeks. His greatest worry was that his son wouldn’t keep enough work on hand for him to do. He was in his 92nd year. Arrangements have not been made for the funeral at this time.
