Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Thurs. Jan. 31, 1980


IONIA- Bernice R. Burras, 83, of 721 E. Main, died Wednesday in the Ionia 
County Memorial Hospital.

she was born on Oct. 6, 1896, in Easton Township, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
Milton Blough.

She was a former Easton Township schoolteacher and later was employed by 
Ypsilanti-Reed and their predecessor until her retirement in 1963. She also was 
a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, William Jr. of Ionia; a daughter, Doris Leathers of 
St. Joseph; and four grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Myers-Roetman Funeral Home with 
the Rev. Carl Hausserman officiating.

Burial will be in the Easton Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home from 2 to 4 
and 7 to 9 pm Friday.
