Portland Review, 29 Oct 1959

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma L. Burris, 84, former Portland resident, were 
held at Neller Funeral Home Monday afternoon, the Rev. Robert Treat 
officiating.  Burial was in Portland cemetery.  Mrs. Burris passed away 
Saturday at Clark Memorial Home in Grand Rapids.  Surviving is a son, John 
Burris of Kokomo, Indiana.

The deceased was a member of the Portland Womens Relief Corps and the Rebekah 
Lodge in Lansing.  She was a member of the Portland Methodist Church.

Bearers were Russell Curtis, Herbert Fryover, Thomas Bandfield, Fred Meade, 
Arthur H. Bandfield and J. Harry Owen.
