Bernice M. Burris, age 92, died Tuesday, January 6, 1998.  Born August 10, 1905,
in Portland, MI, the daughter of Thomas and Elsie (Huff) Fell.  Mrs. Burris was
a charter member of St. Therese Catholic Church.  She was preceded in death by
her husband of 59 years, Howard; 2 sisters, Mary Lyons and Olive Keefer; 2
brothers, Harry and Bert Fell; half-brother, Elzie Soal; and grandson, Darrien
Burris.  Surviving are her children, Jack (Nancy) Burris, Elaine (Dean)
Cullimore, Thomas (Mary) Burris and Gary (Gail) Burris; 16 grandchildren; 28
great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren also survive.  The Funeral
Mass will be celebrated Friday, 11 a.m. at St. Therese Catholic Church with Rev.
Fr. Vincent Bryce as Celebrant.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic
Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at
Palmer-Bush Lansing Chapel, where a Scripture service will be held Thursday
evening at 8 p.m.  For those wishing, donations may be made to St. Therese
Church in memory of Bernice M. Burris.
