Mrs. Burrows was born July 10, 1852, in Toronto, Canada, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Flath. At the age of two, she moved with her parents to Drayton, Ontario, where she lived until 1887 when she married Charles Burrows. They moved to Drayton, North Dakota, and lived there until 1903, at which time they moved to Ionia township where they have lived ever since. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Moore; two sisters, Mrs. Helena Dales of New Market, Ontario, and Mrs. R.G. Lawlor, of Norwood, Ontario; three brothers, Dr. A. Flath of Stanley, N.D.; Fred Flath of Pontiac, and Dr. Everon Flath of Toronto, Canada, and four grandchildren. Mrs. Burrows has been ill for the past five years and when her condition became critical she was taken to the home of her daughter. Her sister, Mrs. Dales, has been there for the last seven weeks caring for her and was with her last evening when she died. Plans had been made for a reunion to be held Sunday, October 4, with all her brothers and sisters coming to see her. Mrs. Burrows was an active member of the Methodist church since she joined in 1903. She taught Sunday school continuously for 33 years. The body will be taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Moore, late Thursday afternoon. The funeral will be held Sunday, October 4, at 2 o’clock from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Moore and at 3 o’clock from the Methodist church with Rev. M.D. Duffey officiating. ------------ Mrs. Margaret Burrows Prayer services for Mrs. Margaret Burrows were held Sunday afternoon, October 4, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Moore, by Rev. M.W. Duffey. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church by Rev. Duffey, who was assisted by Rev. A.T. Luther. Burial was at the Highland Park cemetery. Pallbearers were: Fred Wright, Milton Decker, Floyd MacKlem, Harry Drake, Walter Raguse and John Toutenhoofd. The flowers were in charge of Mrs. Archie Boltz and Mrs. Jacob Moore. Mrs. Lillian Ashdown Jennings played the organ. Those from out-of-town who attended the funeral were: Dr. E. Flath, Miss Muriel Flath and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Flath of Toronto, Canada; Mr. and Mrs. R.G. Lawlor of Norwood, Ontario; Mrs. Helena Dales of New Market, Ontario; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Flath, Mrs. Kenneth Scholtz and Curtis Flath of Pontiac; Mr. and Mrs. Haltzhuser from Mt. Pleasant; Mr. and Mrs. William Hazlett and Mrs. VanderVeer of Grand Rapids.
