Funeral services will be held at 10 o’clock this morning, Thursday, at St. 
Joseph’ s Catholic church, for Ernest W. Burt, 81, who passed away Monday 
evening at the local hospital.

Mr. Burt was born June 1, 1866 at Fallasburg and had resided in this city for 
the past 54 years.  In December, 1895, he was united in marriage to Anna Byrnes 
of Parnell.

Survivors include two daughters: Mrs. William West of Clifton, Ohio, and Mrs. 
Eustace Bowler of Belding; two sons: Erwin C. Burt of Grand Rapids and Edwin A. 
Burt of Greenville; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The Fales-Huffman Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements and Rev. 
Fr. Charles Steves will officiate.  The rosary was recited Wednesday evening at 
8 o’clock at the funeral home.  Interment will be in St. Joseph’s cemetery.
