Lake Odessa wave-Thurs. June 18, 1959

John Burt Died At Lansing Thursday.
John W. Burt, 69 of Clark Road, route 4, Lansing passed away Thursday at Lansing. He
was a native of Campbell township, Ionia county and spent his early life here and
attended the local school. He was a retired contractor and carpenter and had lived in 
Lansing and vicinity for 43 years.He was a member of the Moose lodge, no. 288.

Mr. Burt was the nephew of Mrs. Ellis Kingman and step-son of William Sicklesteele,
a former resident.

Surviving are his wife Elma; three sons, Charles, Kenneth and Gerald and a
step-daughter, Mrs. Alma Paully of Lansing; a brother Harley of Toledo, Ohio and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2:30 at the Gorsline-Runciman funeral home with
burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, Lansing. Rev. N. T. Keiser officiated.
