January 5, 1917 MRS. BURTCH CALLED Passes Away Monday Afternoon, and Funeral Held From Congregational Church Wednesday. Mrs. T.B.Burtch After an illness extending over only a few days, Mrs.T.B. Burtch passed away at her home here Monday afternoon. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock in the congregational church, Rev. L.L.Steadman preaching the sermon. A quartette, composed of Mrs.James Fellows, Mrs.Alex B Usborne, Leon T. Gilson and Maurice D.Armstrong, sang. The remains were laid to rest in Lakeside. The W. R.C. the O.E.S. and the G.A.R. were prominent at the services, Mrs.Burtch having been a member of the first two orders. Mrs. Burtch was one of the village's real pioneer residents, having lived here since it first started, and her life had been such here that her loss was sincerely mourned by all.She leaves. besides her husband, a sister, Mrs.Essie Cox, of Grand Rapids, a brother, H.A. Kibbey, of San Antonio, Tex., two daughters, Mrs.Inez Forman of Middleville and Mrs.E.W. Capron of this place, and a son LaVerne Hiar, of Middleville.
