Lillian C. Burtch, 83, of 150 Jenkins Road, Fenwick, died Sunday at Ionia Manor.
 Born April 24, 1910, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Edward and Lillian
Berger Schroder.  She was graduated from a Flint high school, and was married to
the Rev. Manuel Burtch in April 1927.  They served the Northern Michigan Circuit
of the Free Methodist Church for 22 years.  She was a member of the Evergreen
Free Methodist Church of Sheridan.

Surviving are her husband, the Rev. Manuel Burtch; two sons, David Burtch of
Grand Ledge and Edward Burtch of Stanton; a daughter, Virginia Hawley of Muir;
nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren;
and a sister, Jeanette Eaton of Big Rapids.  She was preceded in death by a
daughter, a brother, and a sister.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Evergreen Free Methodist Church,
Sheridan, with the Rev. Doug McGeorge officiating.  Burial will be in Clear Lake
Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral chapel Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and
Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
