The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, August 17, 1974


Mrs. Martha Burton, 86, of route 3, Dildine road, died at her home late Friday 
evening following an extended illness.  She was born at Manistee June 11, 1888, 
and was married to Ora Burton in 1944.  She had lived at her present home the 
past 30 years.

Surviving beside the husband, Ora, are three daughters, Mrs. Leonard Scott of 
Cadillac, Mrs. Flossie Lattimer of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Della Pratt of Albion; 
two brothers, John Buchner of Flint and Martin Buchner of Trufant; 35 
grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Gertie Brooks of Lake 
Ann.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Leddick funeral home.  
Interment will be at the Easton cemetery.
