Deceased was a quiet, reserved man, honest and upright in all his dealings; a simon pure democrat in politics, and made the remark to your correspondent only a short time before he died, he was sorry Bryan was defeated. The funeral was held at the N. P. church on Tuesday, Rev. John Dobson officiating. Frank Burtraw, of Lansing, has been on the Plains for several days.
