BURTRAW, GERTRUDE (HELMER)(MRS. MELVIN):

   IONIA SENTINEL, 6-29-1964, page 2:  "Deaths - Lyons - Mrs. Gertrude Burtraw,
75, retired school teacher, was born in North Plains Township 11-4-1888, the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Helmer.  She married Melvin Burtraw who died
October, 1956.
   Surviving are one son, Russell, at whose home she died, in LaJolla,
California, and 3 grandsons.  Burial in North Plains cemetery."
