Sentinel-Standard - Monday, Aug. 23, 1976

Grandville- Blanch R. Burwell, 80, of 4689 56th St. died Sunday morning.

She was born in Ionia county, May 27, 1896, the daughter of Lyman J. and 
Alzina Stanton Newman.

Mrs. Burwell was a resident of Saranac for many years and had been a 
registered nurse in the Detroit area for much of her life. 

Her husband, Charles preceded her in death in 1966.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Longdyke of Manning, 
California, one brother, Lorenzo Newman of Lake Odessa, one sister, Mrs. 
Mamie Antcliff of Stockbridge and one grandson.

Services will be at the Roetman funeral home in Saranac Wednesday at 2 pm 
with Rev. Earl Cross of South Boston Baptist church officiating. 

Burial is in Saranac cemetery.
