Ionia Standard, 24 Sep 1886

Died, at her home in this city, Sunday, Sept. 12, Alice D., wife of W.F. Bush, of 
typhoid fever.  Deceased was 34 years old and came to Ionia with her parents, Mr. 
and Mrs. Butterfield, at the age of 14.  She attended school here, and afterwards 
was a successful teacher.  She was married in 1872; was the mother of four 
children, three of whom are living, two girls, Lulu and Bessie, aged 
respectively, 12 and 11, and baby Frankie, aged two years.  She was a member of 
the Episcopal church, a loving wife, fond mother and a kind friend.  She leaves a 
large circle of friends, who mourn with the bereaved family her untimely death.
