Bush, 81, of Belding, passed away Aug. 6, 2001 at the United Memorial Health Center Extended Care Unit in Greenville. She was born the daughter of Dirk and Lena (Hemmes) Cooper on March 5, 1920 in Muskegon. Annette was a long time member of the Zion United Methodist Church in Ionia. She taught Sunday school for the nursery class for over 30 years. She was very active within the church serving in many capacities. She was a volunteer at the Christian Service Center in Ionia. Surviving are five sons, John (Terri) Bush of Ionia, Larry (Debra) Bush of Belding, Martin (Sheryl) Bush of Belding, Thomas (Alice) Bush of Lowell and Ted (Therese) Bush of Gowen; nine daughters, Karen (Art) Ritenburgh of Pentwater, Linda (David) Wheeler of Virginia, Lois (Jerry) Paulson of Belding, Barbara (Tom) Fagerlin of Belding, Marilyn (Dennis) Fountaine of Stanton, Donna (Greg) Oesterich of Houghton, Janice (Clay) Parker of Belmont, Valerie (Ernie) Newman of Ionia and Nancy (Jim) Schrauben of Portland; 45 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John (Joyce) Cooper of Holland and Bernard (Lillian) Cooper of Hudsonville; one brother-in-law, Gary Van Vels of Jenison; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bush in 1975; two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from the Zion United Methodist Church, Ionia, with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment in Easton Cemetery. Visiting will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Rich Street Chapel of the Cook Funeral Home, Ionia. Memorial contributions can be made to the Zion United Methodist Church Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
