Bush, 77, of 401 Front Street, Belding, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Spectrum Health United Memorial United Campus Extended Care, Greenville, after living in the same home since she was 18 months old. She was born January 10, 1928 to Glenn and Ella Bush in Ionia. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Belding since 1935, charter member of the Women’s Society of Christian Service and president and member of the Mable McNaughton Circle. She was a graduate of Belding High School in July 1946. Barbara was a majorette for six years with the high school band. She was a Girl Scout leader for eight years, following the first group through Senior Scouting and graduation. Out of four graduating, two married ministers. She also worked as a counselor at Girl Scout camp one summer. She helped as a counselor at Day Camp several summers. She was a member of the Senior Choir of United Methodist Church and superintendent of Sunday school, activity secretary and an officer in the WSCS. She worked at Belding Basket Factory eight years, also at Jolly Kids Togs and Clark Alterations. She enjoyed nature and all living plants and animals, marveled at the beauty of the changing seasons and all the beauty of the trees. Blue was her favorite color. She loved sewing, embroidery and cats. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two half-sisters, Thelma Bisel of Ionia, Thelma Kropewnicki of Greenville. She is survived by nephew and his wife, Robert Kropewnicki of Greenville; great-nephews and great-nieces; great- great nephews and great-great-nieces; and friends. Services are 11 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church, Belding, with Pastor Connie Schatz officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Huffman- Brigham Funeral Chapel, Belding.
