Mills Bush was born in New York State, September 12, 1830, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Daniel Cameron of Belding, Michigan, August 19, 1911, at the ripe age of 81 years, 11 months and 7 days. She was married to Sidney S. Bush in 1850, with whom she lived in loving companionship for 57 years, when he was taken home, four years ago and this aged couple are now united once more, never to part. They came to Michigan about 1865 and settled near Hudson, then moved into Shiawassee county, making that their home for eighteen years, then they moved to Atlanta, Michigan, coming to Belding in 1903. In 1879 she with her husband were converted and joined the Methodist church, but during the last few years of her husband’s life he was an invalid requiring her entire attention. Four daughters, Mrs. Rose Thompson of Rose City, Mrs. Nellie Babcock of Harbor Springs, Mrs. D. Cameron of Belding, Mrs. Mary Coon, a brother, Henry C. Mills of Corunna, besides grandchildren and many friends, who are left to emulate all her good qualities and honor her by living even better than she, and thus her works will follow her. The funeral was held at her late home Tuesday and her remains laid at rest in Riverside cemetery.
