Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday May 26, 1977

Rites Held for Chas. Bushnell

Charles M. Bushnell, age 85, of 6035 Kripps St. St.Johns, former Lake Odessa 
resident, passed away Tuesday evening at the Clinton Memorial Hospital, St.Johns 
a short time after admittance.

He was born August 3, 1891 in Ionia County, the son of Lester and Alice (Nash) 
Bushnell and was a lifelong resident and farmer of the area until moving to the 
St.Johns area nine years ago. He farmed for many years on his farm on 
Clarksville Road before he moved to his home at Lake Odessa.

His wife, the former Lura Haller, passed away January 10, 1955.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ivah Jackson of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Edward 
(Marie) Spaulding of St. Johns; nine grandchildren and several great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday at 1:30 at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel at 
Lake Odessa. Rev. Elwood Norton officiated with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
