Shirley Louise (Belcher) Bussell, 70, of Ionia passed away December 27, 1998, 
in Grand Rapids.  She was born November 10, 1923, the daughter of Edward and 
Alta (Bozung) Belcher Sr.  She was the wife of William Fayette Bussell Sr. for 
30 years, until his death February 28, 1985.

She is survived by her sons, Bill (Sue Ann) Bussell, Tony Bussell, Barry 
Bussell, and Larry Bussell, all of Ionia; special daughter, Judy (Edward) 
Zuidewind of Lowell; brother, Edward (Helen) Belcher Jr. of Texas; sister 
Charlotte and Ray Rossell of Cadillac; grandchildren, Christine Bussell, Lisa 
and Ryan Harwood, and Nicholas Bussell; and two great-grandchildren, Spender 
and Trevor Harwood.  She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Bussell on 
January 22, 1979; and one brother, Russell Bozung.

She was part owner of I-96 Towing since 1991, and prior to that, a partner 
with Bill Bussell and Sons Towing since 1960.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation at her 
request.  Memorial service will be announced at a later date.  Anyone wishing 
may make contributions to Ionia Area Hospice in care of Shirley Bussell.  
Arrangements are by the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.

Shirley Louise (Belcher) Bussell, 75, of Ionia, passed away December 27, 1998 
in Grand Rapids.  Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Easton Cemetery, 
with Rev. Kirk Starkweather officiating. Anyone wishing may make memorial 
contributions to Ionia Area Hospice.  Lake Funeral Home, 3521 S. State Road, 
Ionia, is in charge of arrangements.
