Conklin Butcher, 70, of Ionia died Tuesday, Sept 3, 1996 at her home after a short battle with cancer. She was born May 12, 1926, the daughter of Claude and Leone (Tuthill) Conklin in Ionia County, where she has spent her life. She was a lifetime member of the Ionia Moose and devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She is survived by one son: Tracy Comer of Ionia; one daughter: Tammy Fedewa of Ionia; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister: Doris (Robert) Christensen of Belding. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son: Ronnie? Hoskin; one daughter: Sandra Leone Rowley; one grandson: James LaVern Rowley, and one brother: LaVern Bakeloar. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Set. 6, 1996 at the Cook Funeral Home with Rev. Craig Adams of Zion United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Rich Street Chapel of Cook Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
