Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 18 Mar 1955

Fred W. Butcher, 45, of Saranac died at 11:25 p.m. Thursday at Butterworth
Hospital after several days’ illness.  He was a resident of Saranac for 14 years
and was manager of the Saranac Manufacturing Company the last three years.

He is survived by his wife, Grace; three sons, Larry, Duane and David and one
daughter, Sandra, of Saranac; two brothers, Thane of Saranac and the Rev. Floyd
Butcher of Big Rapids; his mother, Mrs. Ethel Wilson of Barryton; a sister, Mrs.
Darville MacLaren of Houghton; and a grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon, at 2:30 at the Morris funeral
home.  Interment will be at Saranac cemetery.
