Betty Lucille Butler, of Portland, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 17,
2008.  She was born March 7, 1920 in Ishpeming, the daughter of Rodolph and
Mildred Franson.  Betty was raised in Marquette.  She was a member of the V.F.W.
Post #4090 Ladies Auxiliary and was a volunteer at Portland Area Service Group.
 Betty enjoyed cooking and traveling.

Sue is survived by her husband, Hanmer “Bud” Butler; stepdaughter Debra Butler;
niece Donna (Narayan) Sivaraman; nephew Michael Lumbert and many
great-nieces-and-nephews.  The funeral service will be conducted by Pastor
Daniel L. Stemen at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 at the Schrauben-Lehman
Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge St., Portland.  Interment will follow at Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at
the funeral home.
