Belding Banner – Wednesday 30 May 1917
The death of Ed. Butler occurred in the Soldiers’ Home at Grand Rapids 
Saturday.  He and his wife were taken there about three weeks ago.  The 
funeral was held Monday at the home and the burial was made in the cemetery 
there.  Mr. Butler was seventy-eight years old and was a resident of this city 
for nearly fifteen years, coming here from the State of New York.  His wife, 
who is a sister of Mrs. John Cobb of this city, survives him.
