ROBERT BUTLER, 83
Robert Norman Butler, age 83, of Ionia, MI. passed away March 15, 2018.

He was born on October 23, 1934, in Auburn, Ind., the son of Kenneth and Hazel
(Allen) Butler. He married Doris Marie Reed on May 11, 1956.

She preceded him in death in 2006.

Robert worked for G.M at the Fisher body plant 2 in Grand Rapids He was a Scout
leader and bowling, loved family and being a dad, he also loved traveling to Florida.

Surviving Robert are his son David (Rhoda) Butler of Ionia; daughter Lisa (Lindsey)
Dood of Grand Rapids; brother Ronald (Vera) Butler of Grant; sisters, Doris (Larry) Cobb of
Ionia and JoAnn Smith of Ionia; grandchildren Korenn Butler, Joshua Champlin, Lindsay
(Nikki) Dryer, Kara Butler, Emma Butler, Matthew Butler, Machael Brewer, Amanda (Brandon) 
Jones, Breegale Smith and Bradley Smith; great-grandchild Kearstin Ervin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Doris, daughter Connie Smith, brother
Keith Butler and special friend Earlene Nunes.

Funeral services will be held at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Tuesday, March 20th,
at noon, with Pastor Fred Lab officiating. Interment Easton Cemetery. Visitation will
be one hour prior to the service. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to
Heartland health Care center in Ionia. Online condolences may be made at lakefuneralhomes.com
