Dawdy, 26, last Tuesday night. Butterfield was brought to the Lake Odessa hospital after the car which Dawdy was driving sideswiped a heavy livestock truck driven by Emery TenEyck, 29, of Portland, one-half mile north of here. It was at first believed Butterfield was not seriously injured. Butterfield was not married and had been an employee of the F.G. Mercer elevator at Saranac for the past six years. He lived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Arnold in Saranac. The body was taken by Wortley & Baine to Glendale where the funeral was held and burial was in Glendale cemetery.
