The Belding Banner, Thursday, January 22, 1903

Washington Buttermore died in Oakfield Monday, aged 73 years.  He lived in 
this city until about a year ago when he moved with his son Uriah to a farm in 
that township.  The deceased was the father of Mrs. Will Harroun of this city, 
Mrs. Chas. Fish of Lansing.  Mr. Buttermore was an excellent man.  The funeral 
took place at the late residence Wednesday.
