Jason was born March 28, 1980, in Ann Arbor, the son of Daniel and Patricia Hassan Bylsma. He graduated with high honors from Belding High School with the class of 1999. He was a member of Green Corners Baptist Church, had helped at the Advisory Center for Teens and was a big University of Michigan fan. He loved the outdoors and fishing. Despite his physical difficulties he enjoyed life and loved his family and many friends. He is survived by his parents, Patty and Larry Hendrick, Dan and Janel Bylsma, all of Belding; brothers, Shaun Bylsma of Belding, Matt and Anna Bylsma of Stanton; step-brothers, Chance and Gabriel at home, and several other step-brothers and step-sisters; aunts and uncles; grandparents, George and Ruthann Hasson of Pinkney, Erwin and Mildred Bylsma of Rockford; his church family; and best friend, Jeff Leslie of Washington, D.C. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Green Corners Baptist Church, with his Pastor, Paul Leslie, officiating. Interment will follow in Greene Cemetery. A time for memory sharing is 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at church and one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the wishes of Jason’s family.
