BELDING- Nancy J. Byrne, 76, of Belding, died Friday morning, Oct. 19, 2012 at 
Metron of Belding Nursing Home. Nancy was born on April 13, 1936, in Big 
Rapids, the daughter of Howard and Irene (Gordon) Reed.

In earlier years Nancy had worked at Leppinks grocery store in the meat 
department and later in the 1960's started working for Belding Area Schools as 
a school secretary, first at Washington Elementary Schools and later at Orchard 
Hills Elementary School retiring in 1991.

She enjoyed painting, knitting, fishing and spending time with family and 
friends.

Nancy will be greatly missed. She was married on Oct. 18, 1953, in Owosso, to 
Ken Byrne. Nancy is loved and survived by her husband Ken; and their children, 
Kenneth (Julie) Byrne of Montague, Dave (Cara) Byrne, Mark (Jeanne) Byrne all 
of Belding; her grandchildren, Chad, Rachelle, Jenna, Heather, Jacklynn, Craig, 
Jake, Dan, Erin; and her great grandchildren, Noelle, Austin, Oliviah, Emilie, 
Brayen, Kenden, Elijah, Jayden, MacKenzie, Colton, Jarret; and one brother and 
sister-in-law, Dean (Arlene) Reed of Sterling. Nancy was preceded in death by 
her parents and one great granddaughter, Emma.

Funeral and Committal Services will be 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 22, at Shiloh 
Community Church with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Visitation will be from 2 
to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding. 
Interment will be in Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding. Memorial contributions 
may be given to the Belding Library, Belding Museum or Shiloh Community Church.
