Nov. 23, 2018 CATHERINE ANN BYRNE, 94 Catherine Ann Byrne 94, residing in South Bend, Indiana, was born in 1924 near Belding the daughter of Theodore and Margaret (Feyan) Albert. She graduated from Belding High School with the Class of 1942. After being apart for three years during his Air Force service in England, she married the love of her life; James Arthur Byrne at St. Mary's Catholic church, Miriam. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2013, her parents, a sister Marian and four brothers; Leo, Joseph, Harold and Robert. Catherine is survived by her children; JoAnn (James) Wittenbach of south Bend, Indiana, Daniel Byrne (Joanie Crockett) of Estes Park, Colorado, Jerry (Mary) Byrne of Wayland, Michigan, Mareen Byrne of LaQuinta, California, Richard (Sharon) Byrne of Fairhope, Alabama, Nancy Byrne of Lakewood, Colorado and Patrick Byrne of Easthampton, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Darrick Gibbs, Thomas (Carly) Warnshuis, Leah (Dan) Lewis, and Kevin Witttibach. Kate and Jim spent many happy years traveling throughout the USA in their motor home and living for winters in Tucson and visiting friends and family. Mom was a strong and determined woman, hard-working faith filled woman who was loved by family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m Saturday November 24, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Parnell with father Thomas Cavera presiding. Committal prayers will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 7-9 with a rosary prayed at 8:30 pm at Johnson-Feuerstein funeral Home, Belding. Visitation will also take place one hour before Mass at the church. Memorials may be given to the Center for Hospice Care in South Bend, Ind., or a charity of your choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
