Byrne, 46, died suddenly Saturday noon, August 9, at his home at 1446 East Michigan avenue in Lansing. Byrne made his home in Ionia for several years before the World war and was employed at that time by Henry Gable at his plumbing shop. He saw service overseas in the war and upon his return he again took up his work at the Gable plumbing shop. Later he left Ionia and moved to Grand Rapids where he opened a plumbing shop. In 1932 he came back to his work in Ionia and then again in about 1938 he moved to Lansing where he has since made his home. He was connected with the Lowery-Byrne shop in Lansing. Surviving is the wife, Irene, and his mother, Mrs. Catherine Byrne of Parnell, five brothers and two sisters of Parnell. Funeral services will be held from the Parnell church Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. with interment at the Parnell cemetery.
