The Carson City Gazette, Friday, February 16, 1906
G. W. Cadwell was called to South Bend, Ind., yesterday by a telegram 
announcing the sudden death of his sister, Miss Mary Cadwell.  No plans had at 
that time been made but Mr. Cadwell expected to bring the body to Ionia for 
burial.  Miss Cadwell was a resident of Ionia nearly fifty years, going to 
that city in 1856, and was a teacher in the schools there about thirty-five 
years.  She was well known here where she had visited often since her brother 
came here, and has many friends who will learn with sincere sorrow of her 
death.  Cause of death was heart failure.
