William Joseph Cahill Jr., age 72, of Ionia, passed away Thursday, March 17, 
2005 in Ionia.  He was born September 3, 1932 in Boston Massachusetts the son 
of William and Elizabeth (McGurin) Cahill Sr.

William retired from the USMC at the rank of Captain, and he was a veteran of 
the Korean and Vietnam wars.  William retired from the Michigan Reformatory.  
He was a life member of Lyons Muir VFW 4646, DAV and Purple Heart Assoc.

He is survived by his loving wife Usah Cahill of Ionia; sons Soontaya (Ana) 
Cahill of Arizona, Siritad Cahill and friend Toy Hurley of Maryland; daughter 
Tina (Eric) Conran of Ionia; sister Carol Piper of Nevada; grandchildren 
Jennifer, Michael, Karina, Caroline, Bryan, Avery and Sydney.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Rev. Mel Fox officiating.  The family will receive friends and family 
12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment 
Sunset Memorial Gardens.
